A Máquina da Amnésia

The creative process of A Máquina da Amnésia was developed from the linguistic research Brain Diving by Fernando Martins. The poetic and scenic dramaturgy of this piece is inspired by the moments of amnesia and the distance from our conscious state when we perform a routine action.

The work was created as part of the linguistic research process Brain Diving, subsidized by the 20th edition of the Fund for Dance of the City of São Paulo (Edital de Fomento à Dança), with a premiere in June 2017.

The performance presents an atmosphere of oblivion and interruptions - five bodies, five paths - each individual proposes their own dive and shares their moment of understanding of the research.
